Creative Recruiting

Carol Vick

Carol Vick recruits Creative Directors, Executive Creative Directors, CCOs, Art Directors, Designers, Writers, UX/UI Designers, Web Developers, Strategists, Project Managers, Account Executives and other creative people. Creative recruiting is specialized in that it requires knowledge of good work/design/concept and the ability to read a body of work to meet the needs of the hiring company. Carol Vick has many years on the ground floor of Creative Circus, training some of the best creatives in the business, in addition to years as an independent creative recruiter. She has deep knowledge of people and creatives.

Carol Vick is an Atlanta-based creative recruiter who places talent for ad agencies and corporate clients nationally and internationally, with affiliates in the US and overseas. Carol began her career managing a fashion photography studio with major international clients. She then served as the Placement Director for Portfolio Center in Atlanta. In 1995 she co-founded the Creative Circus, one of the premier advertising portfolio schools in the U.S., with Rob Lawton, Norm Grey, Betty Gammage, Mike Jones-Kelley and Rob Brinson. After many years matching creatives with ad agencies, Carol launched a recruitment firm with Carol Lee Kelliher in 2007. She then founded Carol Vick Creative Recruitment in 2013.

Through her entire career, either through the schools she helped found and grow or through her own Creative Specialty Search Consultancy, Ms Vick has worked tirelessly and often ahead of her times to build a qualified cadre of diverse candidates.

Ms. Vick, together with Julius Dunn and Marques Gartrell, co-founded a diversity initiative, Adversity. It later became the One Club’s first diversity program with Julius Dunn. Diversity is still a very important part of Ms. Vick’s personal and professional commitment. She is often involved in promoting diversity through hiring, education and understanding.
